NOTE: a $150 fee will be added to any wedding or vow renewal taking place before 8am.

This special triathlon package contains the essentials and the care of our regular packages, and adds a few elements of flare, but keeps things simple so you can concentrate on or recover from the reason you are here in Kona. No upgrades or options are available for this package, other than the two noted, although a professional photographer may be added separately.

For Triathlon participants who want to use this special time in Kona to wed or renew their vows with their special someone, this package is simple, easy, yet has just enough flare to keep it beautiful and elegant.

• Two Beautiful Single Strand Leis for Lei Exchange

• Photos Taken on Your Camera or Cell Phone by Member of SKBW Staff (Service through License Signing)***

• Obtaining of Beach Permit (if applicable; may require an additional fee)

• Access to Detailed Client Resources Link with Complete Marriage License Instructions, the Vows I Use, Lei Choices, Referrals for Photography, Hair and Make-Up, and Restaurant Recommendations. Travel Advice is also Provided, as Requested.

**The only upgrades or add-ons available for this package are additional single strand leis for guests, or the extending of the photos on your camera or cell phone up to one hour total. A professional photographer may also be added - either arranged by yourselves from a referral list, or I can help arrange that for you and wrap it into your package.

Please note that, although good, our staff member is NOT a professional photographer, and these photos are meant to be a complement to the work of a professional photographer, or as a way of capturing memories of your big day if no professional is hired.

For the triathlon participant who feels that getting married during the competition would be the ultimate way to tie the knot, this package is for you.

Imagine starting out the marathon leg of your journey, and having the opportunity to step off the course, marry your honey, and get back on with that excitement to carry you through the bulk of your run, and to cross that finish line married... 

Well, you can!

Simple Kona Beach Weddings has a perfect location on a beach at the start of the marathon portion of the race route, at an uncrowded section, just before heading down to the stone church, and then heading back out to tackle the run to the energy lab and back...

We will be tracking your bib number, and have your future spouse there, waiting for you in ample time (he or she is also welcome to simply set up camp on the beach for the day, and watch for you there), and we'll have someone holding a sign for you, guiding you onto the beach, where a little wedding area will be set up for your and your future spouse, with Becky at the ready to perform your service. If you arrive after sunset, we will set up a special location in front of the beach, but on the side of the road.

We'll be glad to take some photos on your camera or cell, and will have a professional photographer on hand to snap a few pro shots of your big moment. We'll marry you in a swift, but meaningful way (unless you would like to make it longer), so that you can finish the race knowing that you are now officially married, without losing too much time or momentum!

You'll be entering and exiting the course at the same point, and we've made sure we'll be following all of the race regulations to keep you on course to finish the race.

We even will provide you with some sort of sign, bib or indicator that lets people know your newlywed status!

This Package Includes:

• Simple Secular or Spiritual Service Performed by Becky at a Beach Location Right on the First Stretch of the Marathon Route, that will allow you to exit and enter the course easily, at the same location, as well as allow the non-race participant to easily get there as well
• All of the Legal Elements to Get you Married:

  • The Ring Exchange
  • The Pronouncement
• Two Beautiful Leis for Lei Exchange
• Marriage Certificate Filing
• Photos taken both on your camera or cell phone, as well as a couple of professional shots, which you will receive edited to your email address after the race.
• A sign or bib that acknowledges that you started single, and are finishing the race married!
• Full Marriage License Instructions and Coordination for Race Day Provided​
