Simple Kona Beach Wedding Sample Vows

Below are the wedding and vow-renewal vows I typically use. For religious ceremonies, I use the same vows, but add "In the presence of God" to the beginning of the vows. If you have vows you would like me to have you repeat instead of the below, just give them to me ahead of time, and I will use the ones you prefer.

You can repeat after me (typical), or have me read the vows as "Do you,             , take                   , to be..." and then you answer, "Yes, it is," when I am finished.

If you decide you'd like to say your own vows, know that you can Google "wedding vows" for ideas, you can write your own (and feel free to read it from a piece of paper in either case), or you can simply speak from your heart in the moment.

Some couples also decide to say something to one another and then still repeat after me. ​

Please note that the "I do" part actually happens a bit earlier in the ceremony (where you promise to love, honor, cherish and keep the person), so rest assured, that's already in there. These are the other promises you are making to one another.

Sample Wedding Vows:

I promise to love you and be faithful to you,

To nourish you with my gentleness,
To uphold you in my strength,
I promise to love your body as it ages,
And to weigh the effects of the words I speak,
